Pasquale is a personal photographic story that traces the journey of my grandfather, and the pursuit of the American Dream. Originating from a humble life in rural Italy, he faced scarcity head-on, prompting a migration to the United States in search of new opportunities. Through shots of his weathered notebooks, the tools on his workbench, and his pictures as a photographer, I offer a glimpse into the remnants of his labor and the remains of his legacy. Though I never had the privilege of knowing my grandfather personally, this project serves as a means for me to experience and understand him, capturing the essence of a man who not only built roofs but also built a lasting familial and professional legacy.
